About Us
The leadership of the Saint George Triathlon Club and Team Desert Palms consists of individuals who share a passion for one (or all) of the three disciplines of triathlon. These individuals range from world class athletes to beginners, but all have great fitness knowledge and the willingness to share their knowledge with the Saint George community. These individuals (coaches and training group leaders) all feel an obligation to "give back" to the sport that has provided them so many benefits in their individual lives.

Rob Gray
Rob is the Saint George triathlon club founder. He works in the fitness industry and saw a great need for a tri club in Saint George. Rob noticed that the Saint George area has a large amount of triathletes who have been training and competing largely on their own without the training and performance benefits a club can provide; so he started making contacts with athletic businesses and local leaders, and the St. George Tri Club was formed.
Rob has an athletic background consisting of team sports and track and field. After a long period of inactivity, Rob started competing in road races in 2002. Since that time he has completed about 50 events including 6 marathons. Looking for a new challenge, Rob competed in his first triathlon in 2006, and fell in love with the sport. Rob's goals now include doing an Ironman distance event and helping the sport of triathlon grow in the Saint George area.
